Church of Saints Peter and Paul, Roman Catholic church in Mnichov, Karlovy Vary Region, Czech Republic

The Church of Saints Peter and Paul is a religious building in Mnichov with stone walls and traditional architectural features. The structure displays details typical of regional sacred buildings.

A wooden church dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul stood here in the 13th century and was rebuilt in masonry around 1320; it became a parish church before 1384. After damage in the Thirty Years' War, it was completely rebuilt from 1719 to 1725 under the Teplá builder Johann Wolfgang Braunbock. The tower received its onion dome in 1809, and its top was repaired in 2017.

The church is a filial church of the Roman Catholic parish, formerly a parish church itself; until 1784 its parish included Rájov, Sítiny, Číhaná, Bohuslav, Popovice, Louka and part of Prameny. The baroque pulpit, older than the building, was moved here in 1782 from the dissolved Chotěšov monastery church of St Wenceslas. A statue of St John of Nepomuk from 1880 stands by the apse.

The church stands on a hill at the western edge of Mnichov, facing the village with its presbytery, so the main entrance is in the south wall; the space in front forms a second village square. The former Baroque parish house stands opposite, and the abandoned cemetery around the church, used until 1895, retains a group of tombstones west of the building.

The baroque pulpit is older than the present church: it was moved here in 1782 from the dissolved Premonstratensian monastery church of St Wenceslas in Chotěšov. The 1755 baptismal font is carved from local serpentinite, and the 1898 organ front bears the coat of arms of Teplá abbot Alfred Ambrož Clementso.
