Tvrziště Smiřično, Medieval stronghold in Mříčná, Czech Republic.
The southern stronghold presents minimal elevation changes of one meter and stands adjacent to building number 126 in the local area.
The fortification site dates back to 1356 when the lords of Mříčná first established their presence in the region.
Archaeological excavations at the stronghold revealed fifteenth-century ceramics and substantial charred wooden beam structures from the medieval period.
The site connects to several walking paths and allows visitors to examine the remaining eastern embankment, which rises three meters from a former pond.
Two separate strongholds existed in Mříčná until 1476, when the annexation to Jilemnice estate led to their gradual deterioration.
