Church of the Transfiguration

The Church of the Transfiguration stands on Kršovec hill at 496 meters above sea level, featuring a single nave with two side chapels and pilaster-decorated gables.

Construction of the church occurred between 1763 and 1765, based on plans attributed to architect Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer, replacing an earlier chapel at the site.

The interior contained Rococo furnishings until the late 20th century, when these elements were removed, leading to substantial changes in the building's character.

The church building remains inaccessible with bricked-up entrances, and visitors can only view its exterior via a marked hiking trail 300 meters from Pacelice.

A hermitage existed at this religious site during the 17th century, preceding the current structure and indicating its early spiritual significance.
