Červená railway bridge, Railway bridge in Oslov and Červená, Czech Republic

The steel railway bridge spans 253 meters across the Vltava River, standing at a height of 68 meters above the water surface.

Engineers Meltzer and Hüsse completed the construction of the bridge in 1889, making it the second highest bridge in Austria-Hungary at that time.

The Czech Republic recognized the bridge as a cultural monument in 2021, registering it in the Monument Catalogue under number 1000128587.

The bridge features rail expansion devices at both ends to manage thermal changes and incorporates three main spans of 84.4 meters each.

This structure was the first railway bridge in the region built without scaffolding, using the balanced cantilever construction method.
