Vinařský sloup

The Vinařský sloup stands on Na Proseku street and features a pedestal with relief carvings of four grape clusters between a chapel and the column body. The monument is approximately 2 meters tall and sits near several grapevines that keep the region's historical heritage alive today.

The original column was erected in the first half of the 17th century and stood at the border between Prosek and Libeň near the Máchalka vineyard. A replica of the monument was placed at its current location in 1994, after the original structure had shifted 350 meters during road construction work.

The monument honors the region's wine-making tradition that stretches back to the 12th century. Grapevines and vineyards continue to define the character of Prosek and remind visitors of the area's former role as a wine producer.

The monument sits near Prosek village square along Na Proseku street and is easy to reach on foot. The location is in a quiet residential area that is best explored during a leisurely walk through the neighborhood.

The lower pedestal section of the original monument lies buried beneath the ground because the terrain has risen over the centuries. Visitors today see only the upper portion of the relief carvings with the grape depictions, while the historical base rests underground.
