Léčebný ústav TRN Na Pleši

The Léčebný ústav TRN Na Pleši is a large health complex situated on a slope south of Pleš hill. The property contains several two-story main buildings with curved floor plans, surrounded by mature deciduous trees and linked by paved pathways that follow a geometric pattern.

The building was designed and constructed between 1907 and 1916 by architect Rudolf Kříženecký as a health facility. It represents an early 20th-century medical concept that used fresh air, movement, and organized architecture to support recovery.

The complex reflects the belief that nature and architecture work together to support recovery. The way buildings and gardens blend shows how people of that era understood healing and well-being.

The complex is located in a remote setting, so having your own transport is helpful. Wearing comfortable shoes is recommended since pathways are spread across the grounds and the slope requires some walking.

The complex is deliberately oriented to take advantage of the south-facing slope for maximum sunlight, which served therapeutic purposes. This intentional placement shows how architects of that era integrated natural conditions directly into medical treatment concepts.
