Kamenný kříž

The Kamenný kříž is a stone cross standing along the main road in Sivice, featuring three saint figures and an angel at its top. The structure blends granite, sandstone, and marble, with twenty-two decorative ball elements arranged around the Latin cross.

This cross was built in 1905 as an expression of faith and craftsmanship of that era. Major restoration work in 2007 secured its preservation and recognition as a cultural monument in the Czech Republic.

The cross displays religious inscriptions on a white plaque that reflect the Catholic faith important to this region. The figures of saints and an angel show how such wayside crosses served as places where people gathered for prayer and devotion.

The cross stands right along the main road through Sivice, making it easy to reach on foot. It is a simple stop to view the details up close without needing to plan a longer visit.

The use of three different stone types - granite, sandstone, and marble - shows careful material selection in its creation. The twenty-two spherical ornaments circling the cross were a common decorative choice for such monuments in that area.
