Church of Saints Peter and Paul, Romanesque church in Strýčice, Czech Republic

The Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Strýčice is a parish church standing in the middle of the village within a walled cemetery. Its core is a Romanesque single nave with a rectangular presbytery, later heightened and enlarged in the late Gothic period by a five-sided nave added on the south side, creating a double nave. A square Baroque tower was built in front of the west facade.

The church is first mentioned in 1292, when the village of Strýčice was donated to the monastery at Vyšší Brod. It was originally built in the Romanesque style as a single nave with a rectangular presbytery. In the late Gothic period the building was raised and a five-sided nave was added on the south side, creating a double nave; a square Baroque tower was later placed in front of the west facade.
