Hradec u Dobříše

Hradec u Dobříše is an archaeological settlement on a hillside in the Dobříš region, preserving remains from several prehistoric periods. The site shows how different peoples used the same strategic location over long spans of time, leaving behind dwellings, tools, and other artifacts.

The settlement was founded during the Bronze Age and served as an important center for the Unetice culture, an early community of Central Europe. After this period, later cultures such as the Knovíz, Hallstatt, and La Tène peoples used the same location for their own purposes.

This location served as a meeting point for different communities across thousands of years, each leaving their mark on the landscape. These overlapping layers tell stories of people who lived, worked, and exchanged ideas here.
