Bysterský věšadlový most

The Bysterský věšadlový most spans 24 meters across the Jizera River, featuring a three-meter width and traditional king post truss construction methods.

The current bridge, constructed in 1922 by miller Janoušek, replaced several previous structures, with the first crossing dating back to an 1854 footbridge.

The bridge stands as a protected cultural monument, representing the architectural heritage of Czech wooden bridge construction from the early 20th century.

Following a 5 million Czech crown renovation completed in 2017, the bridge now serves both pedestrians and vehicles connecting Benešov u Semil with Bystrá.

The bridge's original spruce wood structure was replaced with larch during renovation, while maintaining its traditional oak flooring and geometric support system.
