Růženka, Observation tower in Růžová, Czech Republic.
Růženka is a concrete observation tower standing roughly 6 meters tall on the Pastevní vrch hill. An internal staircase climbs to an open viewing platform offering views across the surrounding countryside.
The hill served as a lookout point starting in 1809, particularly during Corpus Christi observances. Its former German name, Hutberg, reflects this historical role as a watch position.
The tower takes its name from the wild roses that grow across the hillside in this area. The viewing platform serves as a natural gathering spot for people exploring the broader landscape of Bohemian Switzerland.
Walking trails from Růžová village lead directly to the tower, or you can use access points throughout the Bohemian Switzerland national park. The climb requires no special equipment and is manageable for most visitors.
From the platform you can watch various animals grazing in the surrounding fields, including long-haired cattle, sheep, horses, and llamas. This colorful mix of livestock adds to the rural feel of the landscape.
