Apple Museum, Technology museum in Old Town, Prague, Czech Republic.
The Apple Museum was a technology museum in Old Town Prague displaying approximately 500 Apple products spanning from the company's early days to contemporary devices. These items were arranged chronologically across multiple rooms to trace the evolution of the brand's innovations.
Founded in December 2015 by an anonymous collector, the museum represented one of the world's largest private collections of Apple products. It remained operational until September 2020 when a major theft led to its permanent closure.
A dedicated section honored Steve Jobs with his iconic black turtleneck and a portrait assembled from iMac components, showing how the founder's vision shaped the brand. This area gave visitors insight into the person behind the products they knew.
Situated in central Prague, the museum provided multimedia guides available in nine languages to help visitors navigate the exhibitions. An on-site vegan café offered a place to rest and refresh while exploring the collection.
The collection included original components from Apple's first products, such as 1976 circuit boards and early Macintosh computers that were essential to understanding tech history. These rare pieces demonstrated how modest the beginnings of the computer industry actually were.
