Treetop Walk Krkonoše, Observation tower in Janské Lázně, Czech Republic.
The Treetop Walk Krkonoše is a wooden walkway with an observation platform that winds through mountain forests and reaches heights of up to 45 meters above the ground. The route offers constant views into the tree canopy and guides visitors through a world between the branches and sky.
The walkway opened as the second treetop walk project by Erlebnis Akademie in the Czech Republic and offered visitors a fresh perspective on the Giant Mountains. The project expanded the concept of forest walks and made the canopy accessible to a broad range of visitors.
Visitors encounter information panels along the route explaining the forest ecosystem and wildlife that inhabit these mountain slopes. The experience makes the natural diversity of the region tangible for people of all backgrounds.
The walkway follows a gentle gradient between 2 and 6 percent, making it comfortable for most visitors to walk. The entire route is equipped with elevators and ramps that allow people using wheelchairs and parents with strollers to move through without difficulty.
Beneath the wooden walkway lies an artificial cave system that allows visitors to descend into the subterranean world of the Krkonoše region. This underground adventure creates an unexpected contrast to the tree canopy overhead.
