The Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary, also called the Chod Church or U Svatých, stands on a slope east of Domažlice's centre. It is a single-nave Gothic building of rough-cut stone with buttresses on the south side, a narrower five-sided presbytery, a rectangular sacristy and a prismatic tower to the north. A stone wall surrounds the former cemetery.

Historians date the church to around 1340, founded for the inhabitants of the surrounding Chod villages and long called the Chod church. On 2 April 1648 lightning struck the tower and the nave burned, its vault on a central pillar collapsing; the rebuilt church received a plain wooden ceiling in 1650. By the late 18th century it served only as a cemetery church, and after 1788 the nearby church of St James was gone. Repairs followed in 1830, 1858 and 1896, and a historicising restoration ran from 1908 to 1914.

The church was founded in the 14th century for the inhabitants of the surrounding Chod villages and was called the Chod church; the nearby parish was likewise the Chod parish. Since the 1990s it has served as a funeral hall rather than an active place of worship. Ten tombstones from the 16th and 17th centuries and one with a coat of arms from the 15th century remain in the nave.

The church stands on a north-south slope on Husova třída east of the town centre, surrounded by a stone wall and the former cemetery with old tombstones. It is a funeral hall, not an active parish church, so there are no services to attend; entry depends on funeral use. The interior is entered through the north portal up four semicircular steps.

The church is also called the Chod church, and until 1788 the Church of St James stood on the highest point of its churchyard; it is mentioned as early as the first half of the 11th century. Ten tomb slabs lie in the nave's south side, six from the 16th and 17th centuries on the north side, and one with a coat of arms from the 15th century.
