Japanese garden Březová–Oleško, Japanese garden in Březová-Oleško, Czech Republic.
The Japanese garden Březová-Oleško has two separate sections with ponds, shaped trees, winding paths, and decorative stone lanterns throughout. There is also a small exhibition hall inside that displays local artwork.
Development of this garden started in 1994 when Václav Wiesner brought traditional Japanese landscaping ideas to this Czech location. Since then it has shown how these design traditions can take root outside of Japan.
The garden brings together Japanese design ideas and the Czech countryside. Visitors find carefully clipped plants, stone arrangements, and small water features throughout that work together to create a thoughtful and calm environment.
The garden is accessible by car with parking available on site. The owners offer guided tours through both sections, which helps visitors understand the design choices throughout.
The second section is called Three Gates Garden and is enclosed by three living gates shaped from trees surrounding a small pond. These natural gateways create a very distinct sense of space within the larger garden.
