Železniční most přes Labe v Kolíně

The railway bridge across the Elbe in Kolín is a steel structure that spans approximately 140 meters to connect both riverbanks. The construction features two distinct sections with varying widths, allowing trains to pass while enabling maintenance access along the crossing.

This railway bridge was completed in 2010, significantly improving transport infrastructure across Central Bohemia. The project enabled a more reliable railway connection spanning the river and has supported both regional and long-distance train services daily since its opening.

The bridge is visible from both riverbanks and offers a good vantage point to watch trains passing overhead. Visitors can use nearby paths along the riverbanks to photograph the structure from different angles and perspectives.

The asymmetrical design with two sections of different widths was an engineering solution for the construction method. This unequal arrangement is not immediately obvious but becomes apparent when examining the structure more closely.
