Nový dvůr, Former homestead in Lhotka, Prague, Czech Republic

Nový dvůr is a former farmstead and monastery in Durychova Street in Lhotka, Prague 4. The historic complex, recorded on the Josephine maps of 1764–1783, later served as a poorhouse and rental flats, and its buildings now house administrative offices.

Nový dvůr appears on the Josephine maps of 1764–1783, held in Vienna, as a farmstead in Lhotka. A men's monastery later stood here, followed by use as an almshouse and as rented flats. A crafts centre for the restoration of Prague monuments also occupied the buildings, and in 2019 a proposal to demolish the site was rejected.

The name Nový dvůr, "New Farmstead", recalls its origin as a farm; the buildings later housed a male monastery, then a poorhouse and rented flats. A centre for crafts restoring Prague's monuments also operated here, and one firm based at the site belonged to František Mrázek, shot in the car park on 25 January 2006.

Nový dvůr stands on Durychova street in Lhotka, Prague 4, not in open countryside; tram and bus stops on the nearby main road put it within a short walk. The buildings serve administrative purposes, so they are not set up as a visitor site and interiors are generally closed. The grounds are best seen from the street; the parking area in front of the main building is where František Mrázek was shot in 2006.

On 25 January 2006, František Mrázek was shot dead in the parking lot in front of the main building; one of his companies had its registered office here. A 2019 proposal to demolish the former homestead was rejected, and the buildings now serve administrative purposes.
