Dolní hrádek is a deserted fortified house site above the Chvojnice river between Lesní Jakubov and Horní Lhotice. Its teardrop-shaped bailey, about 20 by 40 metres, was enclosed by a 10-metre-wide, 3–4-metre-deep moat with a rampart, broken only at the entrance gate. Remains of a 2-metre-wide wall survive in the southwest, and a residential building stood in the southeast, with the gate and tower to the north.

Dolní hrádek was a fortified house (tvrz) above the Chvojnice river on the eastern edge of Horní Lhotice, about 200 metres from the so-called Horní hrádek. It may have been built in the 13th century; the village of Horní Lhotice is first mentioned in 1378, when the stronghold was probably already abandoned.

The house reflects how medieval residents combined living space with defensive needs, using thick walls and strategic design to feel secure. The building shows the practical concerns of people who built their homes to withstand threats.

The site is accessible by local roads leading to Horní Lhotice and situated in countryside that can be reached on foot or by car. Access is straightforward since the area is not remote and local directions are generally clear.

Dolní hrádek is sometimes called Dolní tvrz and lies about 200 metres from the so-called Horní hrádek, another fortified site above the Chvojnice. The village of Horní Lhotice was first mentioned in 1378, when the stronghold was probably already deserted.
