The Educational trail Around Vřesina is a marked walking route featuring information boards that guide visitors through local natural areas. The stations along the path explain local ecosystems and features of this landscape in northern Moravia.

The trail was built in 2003, with eight information boards covering the history, nature, geology and geography of Vřesina and its surroundings. It runs through the Dařenec nature reserve and past the Mechtildin dub (Mechtild's Oak) and Mechtildin bludný balvan (Mechtild's Boulder) at a rest stop in Dařenec.

The 8 km loop starts in the centre of Vřesina and runs northeast along the Bečva stream before turning north toward the Dařenec nature reserve. It is open freely all year round. The route crosses other hiking trails and cycle routes, so junctions need attention.

The trail passes the Dařenec nature reserve and stops at Mechtildin dub (Mechtilda's Oak) and Mechtildin bludný balvan (Mechtilda's Erratic Boulder) near a rest area. The 8 km loop also reaches a peat bog where the Bečva stream rises, close to the turn-off to Vodní důl.
