Benvenue

Benvenue is a large house from the 19th century that stands out for its distinctive mansard-shaped roof and French-inspired architectural details. The two-and-a-half-story wooden structure sits on an expansive property that preserves original outbuildings including a kitchen, storage cellar, dairy house, greenhouse, and other support structures.

The house was built in 1844 and underwent major remodeling in 1889 that reflected French architectural influences popular at that time. This modernization was typical for wealthy families in the region who updated their homes to match current styles.
