Lake Dardanelle State Park has two sites on 34,300-acre Lake Dardanelle, one in Russellville and one in Dardanelle, Arkansas. The Russellville site holds a 10,257-square-foot visitor center with six aquariums, natural and cultural history displays, classrooms and a gift shop, plus a 1,861-square-foot fishing tournament weigh-in pavilion, a covered barrier-free fishing pier, 74 campsites and an outdoor amphitheater. The Dardanelle site has 18 campsites; both sites offer picnic facilities, boat ramps, pavilions, playgrounds and dump stations.

The park is a certified Trail of Tears National Historic Site, marking the route traveled by Native American peoples during their forced relocation from 1831 to 1859. This route represents a pivotal and difficult period in American history.

The visitor center features displays about the journeys of Cherokee, Choctaw, Muscogee, Seminole, and Chickasaw peoples who passed through this area. Today, the park honors their stories and the crossing point's significance in their history.

Overnight camping is available across two locations with a total of 75 sites offering different levels of amenities. Plan ahead if visiting during warmer months when the park sees more visitors.

The Russellville site has a 1,861-square-foot fishing tournament weigh-in pavilion, used for the many tournaments held at the park, with a covered, barrier-free fishing pier nearby. The park also runs guided hikes, kayaking and lake tours.
