Description
The Yuma Building is a three-story brick structure on Fifth Avenue with tall bay windows and thick walls built in the Victorian style. A prominent skylight crowns the roof and brings natural light down through the interior.
History
A captain had the building constructed in 1882, and shortly after it was expanded by two additional stories. The house reflects the growing importance of this area in the late 1880s.

The building carries the name of a former owner and shows how the local Chinese community left its mark on this neighborhood over time. Today you can see at the facade and street level how different groups have shaped this place.

The ground floor houses a hat shop while the upper floors contain residential spaces that have been fully restored. It sits in a central location within the historic district.
