Yuma Building, Victorian Italianate Revival building in Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego, United States.
The three-story brick structure at 631 Fifth Avenue features tall bay windows, thick walls, and a prominent skylight in its architectural design.
Commissioned by Captain Alfred Henry Wilcox in 1882, the building expanded from one to three stories after his wife Maria Antonia inherited it in 1883.
The building underwent transformation from medical offices to a Japanese Bazaar, representing the evolving commercial landscape of San Diego through different periods.
Currently housing Goorin Bros. Hats on the ground floor, the upper levels contain residential spaces that underwent complete restoration in 1989.
The building marked the starting point of the Great Raid of 1912, when local authorities targeted establishments in the Stingaree district.
