The Flanders Callaway House is a two-story log house in Federal style with five bays and walls made from carefully selected walnut logs that show early American construction methods. The structure was completely dismantled in 1968 and reassembled at its present location in Marthasville in 1979.
Flanders Callaway built this house in 1812 as the son-in-law of the famous frontiersman Daniel Boone. The building became significant when Boone's funeral was held here in 1820, marking an important moment in the region's settlement history.
