Walker-Woodward-Schaffer House

The Walker-Woodward-Schaffer House is a two-story brick residence in Palmyra featuring a hipped roof and decorated cornices. The structure displays Italianate design with a front verandah and an additional rear wing that extends the living space.

The residence was built around 1868 and gained recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The house represents the residential style that developed in Missouri during that era.

The house was the birthplace of actress Jane Darwell, who later found success in Hollywood films. Visitors can see the living spaces where a celebrated performer spent her early years.
