Jalil Khayat Mosque

The Jalil Khayat Mosque is a prayer house in Erbil featuring four minarets, a large central dome, and several smaller domes distributed across the roof. The exterior is clad in white marble and covered with intricate geometric tile patterns that decorate the entire surface.

This contemporary prayer house was completed in 2007 and represents an important addition to the religious infrastructure of northern Iraq. Its construction took place during a period when new religious buildings were being built across the region and shaped the city's character.
