The Istana Negara, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim is the official residence of the monarch of Malaysia.
The palace was opened in 2011 to replace the old Istana Negara which was located at a different site.
The changing of the guard ceremony is a significant event that attracts tourists.
The palace is not open to the public, but visitors can view it from the outside.
The palace complex has an area of 97.65 hectares, 22 domes, and is split into three main portions.
