Església de Sant Miquel d'Engolasters, Romanesque church in Escaldes-Engordany, Andorra.

Sant Miquel d'Engolasters is a Romanesque church in Escaldes-Engordany with a rectangular nave and a semicircular apse at its eastern end. A 17-meter-tall bell tower with double-arched windows stands beside the main building.

The church was built in the early 12th century during a significant period of religious construction in Andorra. This era left a lasting mark on how places of worship developed across the region.

The interior walls display reproductions of murals from the 12th century showing Christ in Majesty, with the original artworks now housed in Barcelona's National Art Museum. These images reflect the artistic importance this site once held in religious life.

The church sits at 1504 meters elevation and is reachable via the CG-2 road from Escaldes-Engordany by following signs toward Engolasters Lake. It is best visited during daylight hours to fully appreciate the building and its surroundings.

The bell tower features carved stone heads beneath its uppermost arched window and appears noticeably oversized compared to the main building. This unusual proportional relationship makes it a striking architectural feature worth observing.
