Església de Sant Romà dels Vilars

The church features a rectangular nave measuring 9 meters in length and 4.63 meters in width, with walls constructed from schist and limestone blocks.

Built during the 10th century, Sant Romà dels Vilars stands as one of the earliest religious structures in the Principality of Andorra.

The church represents pre-Romanesque architecture through its minimalist design, featuring unworked stone blocks and basic construction techniques typical of rural medieval buildings.

Located at an elevation of 1,135 meters, the church maintains its position as an active Catholic place of worship within the Diocese of Urgell.

The building incorporates a trapezoidal apse with specific measurements of 2.30 meters at the nave opening and 2.25 meters at the back wall.
