Floating Dubai Bridge

The Floating Dubai Bridge is a pontoon bridge spanning Dubai Creek with two parallel traffic decks arranged side by side. The design allows marine traffic to pass underneath while vehicles move across the top.

This structure was built in the 2000s as the fifth crossing over Dubai Creek and opened in 2007. At the time, it was an innovative solution to handle both vehicle traffic and ship passage simultaneously.

The bridge is open for traffic during the day across multiple lanes for different directions. At night it closes to allow ships to navigate through the waterway.
