Band-e Amir National Park, National park in Afghanistan
Band-e Amir National Park is Afghanistan's first national park, located in the Bamyan Province.
It was established in 2009 by the Afghan government with the help of international partners.
The park is home to six deep blue lakes separated by natural dams made of travertine, a mineral deposit.
Visitors can enjoy activities like hiking, wildlife viewing, and picnicking.
Band-e Amir is considered one of the greatest natural wonders of Asia.
