Pantanos de Villa Wildlife Refuge, Wildlife refuge in Peru
Pantanos de Villa Wildlife Refuge is a protected natural area located in the district of Chorrillos, Lima, Peru.
Established in 1989, it has been recognized as a Ramsar Site since 1997.
The refuge is home to various species of birds, some of which are migratory and come from as far as Canada and Argentina.
It's open to the public for birdwatching, photography, and environmental education activities.
Despite being located within a city, it maintains a rich biodiversity.
