Government Palace, Government Palace in Peru.

The Government Palace of Peru, also known as the House of Pizarro, is the executive branch's headquarters and the official residence of the President of Peru.

The palace was originally built in 1535 by Francisco Pizarro, the governor of New Castile.

The changing of the guard ceremony is a popular tourist attraction at the palace.

The palace is located on the north side of the Plaza Mayor in Lima.

Despite being the official residence, most of Peru's presidents in recent years have chosen not to live in the palace.
