Huaca de la Luna, Archaeological site in Peru
The Huaca de la Luna is a massive ancient adobe brick complex located in the Moche Valley, on the northern coast of Peru.
The temple was built by the Moche civilization (1 CE–800 CE) and was a major ceremonial center for the Moche political elite.
It features vivid wall paintings depicting various gods and rituals, highlighting the rich culture of the Moche people.
Today, it is open for tourists who can explore the complex on guided tours.
Unlike many pre-Columbian structures, much of Huaca de la Luna's original coloring has survived to present day.
