Ernesto Tornquist Provincial Park, Natural reserve in Tornquist Partido, Argentina.
The protected area extends across 6,700 hectares of mountain ranges, grasslands, and valleys in the Buenos Aires province, containing numerous trails and observation points.
The park was established in 1937 under Governor Manuel Fresco, beginning with a 583-hectare donation from Martin Tornquist at La Blanqueada, where Rio Sauce Grande originates.
The mountains preserve 1,500-year-old rock paintings created by hunter-gatherer communities who inhabited this region during ancient times.
Two entry points provide access to the park: Base Cerro Ventana and Base Cerro Bahia Blanca, both staffed with rangers and guides for visitor assistance.
The park protects several endemic species, including the Plantago bismarckii plant and the copper iguana, found exclusively in this mountain system.
