Toledo, Municipality in western Paraná, Brazil.
Toledo is a municipality in the western part of Paraná state, Brazil. It sits in a farming region about 550 meters (1,800 feet) above sea level and covers a large area with several districts and rural zones.
Migrants from Rio Grande do Sul founded the settlement in 1946. Five years later, in 1951, the municipality received official recognition and began developing as a farming hub.
The name comes from Toledo in Spain and was chosen by founders as a tribute to European cities. Today the town functions as a center for food processing and farming, where visitors can observe working facilities and taste regional products.
Main highways BR-467 and PR-182 run through the region and link the center with surrounding areas. A small airport within the municipal boundary offers connections for passengers and cargo, making travel to larger cities easier.
The Municipal Theatre hosts regular performances and concerts for residents and visitors from nearby areas. The Willy Barth Museum preserves objects and documents from early settlers and shows how the town developed over several decades.
