Wings of a Dream Museum, Aviation museum in São Carlos, Brazil.
Wings of a Dream Museum is an aviation museum in Itu displaying over 100 aircraft across a sprawling facility. The collection ranges from early Brazilian designs to military fighters and commercial aircraft spanning multiple decades.
The museum began in 1996 when TAM Airlines founders gathered classic aircraft for weekend flying near São Paulo. The collection eventually found a permanent home at a dedicated facility to preserve these aircraft.
The collection reflects how Brazil emerged as an aviation nation, displaying homegrown aircraft alongside military and commercial models from around the world. Visitors can see how the country built its own aircraft industry while also preserving international flying heritage.
The museum opens on weekends and visits are by arrangement to protect the collection and manage visitor flow. It helps to plan ahead and wear comfortable shoes since the grounds are expansive with aircraft spread across the area.
The facility houses the last surviving Savoia-Marchetti S.55, a rare Italian flying boat called Jahú. Visitors can also see one of the few remaining Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter aircraft that still exists.
