Church of Our Lady of the Rosary and Saint Benedict

The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary and Saint Benedict is a Baroque building located in Cuiabá's historic center that displays distinctive colonial architecture on its exterior. Inside, three altars feature ornate wooden retables adorned with detailed gold and silver carvings that dominate the worship space.

The building was founded in 1730 near Prainha Stream as part of Cuiabá's original settlement. It remains the sole surviving structure from the four original buildings that were erected during the city's earliest days.
