Mirabilandia, Amusement park in Olinda, Brazil

Mirabilandia was an amusement park in Olinda, Pernambuco, occupying 57,000 m². It held more than 30 rides split into radical, family and children's categories, among them the Super Tornado steel coaster with two corkscrew inversions, yellow track and blue supports, bought as scrap from Tivoli Park and restored to service. The grounds also held a food court, games hall and a stage for shows.

The park opened in 1994 as Playcenter Pernambuco and became the first permanent amusement facility in northeastern Brazil at that time. It was later renamed Mirabilandia and has remained a key recreation destination for the region since then.

The park ran a project called "Aulas no Parque" (Lessons in the Park), bringing children and teenagers from public and private schools for multidisciplinary education, using the rides as teaching tools and the grounds as a setting. The park also hosted shows, plays and musicals on its stage, and the seasonal Halloween event Hora do Terror, held usually between October and December from 18:00, with over 100 artists, musicians and actors dressed as monsters in specially built mazes.

The park ceased operations on February 2, 2025, so there are no visiting hours or tickets to plan around. It stood in Olinda on 57,000 m2 of land granted by the state Convention Centre, which asked for the space back in 2010. A relocation to a 279,000 m2 site in the Mata do Ronca, Paulista, was planned but cancelled after a 2023 accident on a swing ride.

The park kept the name and visual identity of Italy's Mirabilandia after the Italian partner left in 2006, when Parques Reunidos bought the Italian park and Grupo Peixoto took over alone. Its Super Tornado coaster, a Vekoma with two corkscrew inversions on yellow track and blue supports, was bought as scrap from Tivoli Park, rust-covered, and restored to service.
