Maynardville Open-Air Theatre

The Maynardville Open-Air Theatre is located in Wynberg's park and provides around 720 seats amid trees and gardens. The outdoor stage sits within natural green spaces that create a relaxing setting for performances.

The stage opened in 1950 after philanthropist Margaret Molteno and community members transformed the former Maynard estate into a performance venue. This conversion allowed a cultural centre to emerge from what was once private land.
