Noor-e-Islam Mosque

Noor-e-Islam Mosque is a prayer hall topped by a 32-meter minaret, with windows designed to reflect the colors of the French flag in its architectural scheme. The interior accommodates around 500 worshippers and features carefully considered structural elements throughout.

Construction started in the 1890s after local merchants submitted a petition, and the building reached its current form by 1905. It became the first mosque established in French territory.

The mosque serves as a gathering place for Muslims in the city and plays a central role in community life. Daily prayers and religious gatherings bring people together regularly.
