Rebmann Glacier, Glacier in Tanzania
The Rebmann Glacier is located near the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
It was first discovered by German missionary Johannes Rebmann in 1848.
Mount Kilimanjaro is an iconic symbol in Tanzania and holds cultural significance for local tribes.
Due to its retreat, the glacier has become a focus of climate change studies.
The equatorial location of the Rebmann Glacier makes it one of the few remaining tropical glaciers.
