P&O Hotel, University building at Phillimore Street, Fremantle, Australia
The P&O Hotel features a two-story brick and stone structure with a recessed colonnade entrance and balustraded arcade on the upper level.
Built in 1903 for the Australian Union Steamship Navigation Company, the building changed ownership to P&O in 1914 following government reforms in shipping services.
The Federation Free Classical architectural design includes horizontal shadow lines, balustrade parapet, and a triangular pediment displaying the initials AUSNC.
Notre Dame University's School of Nursing and Midwifery occupies the building after a renovation project costing 2.78 million Australian dollars.
The structure retains its original verandahs and maritime heritage elements while functioning as modern educational facilities for university students.
