Ranger Red’s Zoo & Conservation Park, Conservation park and zoo in Pinjarra, Western Australia.
Ranger Red's Zoo & Conservation Park is an animal facility along the Murray River banks housing over 750 animals from around 130 different species. The collection includes koalas, wombats, dingoes, and numerous bird and reptile species.
The park was originally founded as Peel Zoo and received its current name and new direction in 2019 under Bradley Holland's ownership. Holland was inspired by naturalists like Harry Butler and wildlife writer Gerald Durrell to refocus the park on conservation.
The zoo offers guided tours and learning programs that teach visitors about animal welfare and conservation efforts. Guests can interact directly with different species and discover more about their natural habitats.
The park is accessible via well-maintained, wheelchair-friendly paths and offers picnic areas throughout the grounds. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water, especially on warm days.
In 2012, three Tasmanian devils escaped from the facility when it was still called Peel Zoo, generating major media attention across Western Australia. The incident brought significant public awareness to the location.
