Tegenungan Waterfall

Tegenungan Waterfall is a cascade about 15 meters high located in Tegenungan Kemenuh village, Gianyar, Indonesia. The water plunges into a natural pool surrounded by steep cliffs thick with tropical vegetation.

The waterfall is fed by the Petanu River, which originates at the Kintamani Batur volcano and flows through several Balinese regions. This water source has shaped the area for generations and remains important to the local population.

The nearby Beji Temple houses a sacred spring where local people perform traditional purification rituals at different times of the year. The location blends the natural waterfall with spiritual practices that remain important to the community.

The site is open daily to visitors and has parking facilities available. Wear comfortable shoes since the paths to the pool can be slippery and uneven.

This waterfall sits in lowland territory, which sets it apart from most other waterfalls in Bali found in mountainous areas. Its unusual location makes it a rare example of a natural water feature in flat terrain.
