Mirima National Park

The park spans 2,068 hectares of sandstone cliffs and escarpments, displaying red rock formations that change colors throughout the day in Western Australia.

The area emerged from a prehistoric sea over 300 million years ago, forming layers of sandstone through creek sediments and wind-transported sand deposits.

The Miriwoong people have maintained connections to this land for generations, using its resources for food, medicine, tools, and ceremonial purposes.

Visitors can explore the park through multiple walking trails, including the Gerliwany-gerring Banan Trail and Looking at Plants Nature Trail, with entry fees required.

A protective layer of black-green algae and lichens covers the sandstone formations, preventing rapid erosion of these geological structures.
