East Nusa Tenggara Regional Museum

The regional museum in Kupang displays objects from the local past such as skulls, shells, stone tools, swords, gourds, and traditional looms. The rooms contain materials that show how people in this region lived and worked.

In a separate building you can see the complete skeleton of a blue whale, an unexpected find in a museum about land and people. This remarkable specimen shows how important the sea was to the history of this island region.
