Sandridge Bridge, Footbridge in Australia
The Sandridge Bridge is a pedestrian bridge spanning the Yarra River in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Originally built in 1888, the bridge served as a railway line for passenger and freight services.
The bridge features public artwork paying homage to the immigrants who came to Australia through the nearby Station Pier.
The Sandridge Bridge is accessible throughout the year and provides splendid views of the Melbourne skyline.
Redeveloped as part of the Docklands project, it also incorporates the Travellers, series of sculptures representing the history of immigration to Australia.
