Bellerive Beach

Bellerive Beach is a sandy shore in Tasmania situated between two prominent headlands. It offers views across the Derwent Estuary toward South Arm and Bruny Island.

The area was inhabited by the Mouheneener people for thousands of years, as evidenced by shell remains. Archaeological discoveries in the early 1980s confirmed this long history of habitation.

The beach serves as a gathering place where locals come to swim, relax, and spend time with family and friends. The tree-lined reserve along the shore is regularly used for picnics and casual outdoor activities.

The beach is easily accessible and offers plenty of space for various activities. Dog restrictions apply during warmer months, but pets have more freedom during other seasons.

A colony of little penguins makes its home in this beach area and can be spotted during evening walks. Additionally, tiny marine organisms create an eerie glow in the water on certain nights.
