Ōtari-Wilton's Bush, Botanical garden in Wilton, New Zealand.

The garden contains 1,200 native plant species across 100 hectares of forest and 5 hectares of specialized plant collections near Wellington city center.

In 1860, farmer Job Wilton preserved part of the original forest by fencing it, leading to the establishment of what became known as Wilton's Bush.

New Zealand Gardens Trust designated this location as a six-star Garden of International Significance for its contribution to native plant conservation.

The Tāne Whakapiripiri Visitor Centre opens daily from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, with main entrance at 150 Wilton Road, offering free admission to all visitors.

The Lions Ōtari Plant Conservation Laboratory conducts research on propagating endangered New Zealand plant species through seed banking and tissue culture methods.
