The Northern Club occupies a four-story quarrystone structure at the intersection of Princes Street and Kitchener Street in downtown Auckland.
Built in 1867 as the Royal Hotel, the building transformed into the Northern Club in 1869 when 120 founding members acquired the property.
The club maintains its position as a meeting place for business leaders and professionals, with over 2,000 members from Auckland's commercial community.
Members have access to multiple dining venues including the Members' Dining Room, Bistro, Bankside Bar & Lounge, and Ivy Bar within the building.
The structure features Virginia Creeper plants growing on its exterior walls since 1927, creating a natural green facade in central Auckland.
